Punahou School Buff ‘n Blue Boys and Girls Swimming (Honolulu, HI)
The Buff ‘n Blue makes a second appearance on the list, and it’s clear that swimming has been part of the school for quite some time. They haven’t just been doing laps and working on their form, mind you; the program has been dominating. Both the girls and boys swim teams at Punahou have been outstanding, totaling a combined 96 state titles (46 for the boys, 50 for the girls). Both won every year in the 1980s, and only a few hiccups in the 90s kept them from sweeping two decades of glory. (It would be interesting to see how the boys would stack up against Regis Jesuit High School in Colorado—a team that has 22 states titles.)
