The winner-take-all tournament known as The Basketball Tournament will still be played in its late July timeframe, but the location and format will change according to a release from tournament organizers Wednesday.
That means defending champion Carmen’s Crew, the mainly Ohio State alumni team with former players like Aaron Craft, David Lighty, and William Buford, won’t likely kick things off on OSU’s campus at the Covelli Center any longer.
That’s because the format is changing to a quarantined, one location setting as opposed to pods as originally planned according to the statement.
