Sylvester Stallone’s sequel to 2015’s Creed had fans going Nostalgia-Nutty when it was announced that the story’s arc would include Drago. The concept, over 30 years in the making, was the perfect follow-up for Adonis Creed—and to the franchise. And while the film didn’t have the same “punch’ as the first, Creed II wasn’t a total disappointment. Much like a lot of the Rocky stories, the film dabbles in knee-jerk reactions, lessons learned from lost bouts, childbirth, worried wife/family, and yes, a rematch. Also, in typical Stallone fashion, the finale between Creed and Viktor Drago (Ivan’s son) leaves everyone in the theater feeling like a better human…who can walk through walls and change the way we view inspiration.
