Texas WR Xavier Worthy declares for 2024 NFL draft

Worthy ranks among the program’s all-time leaders in catches, yards receiving and touchdown receptions.

After three incredible seasons on the Forty Acres, Texas wide receiver Xavier has declared for the 2024 NFL draft.

Less than 24 hours after Texas’ heartbreaking loss to Washington in the College Football Playoff semifinal, Worthy announced via social media that he will enter the draft.

Worthy ended his collegiate career with 197 receptions for 2,755 yards and 26 touchdowns. He ranks among the program’s all-time leaders in catches, yards receiving and touchdown receptions.

The former Michigan signee played a crucial role in Steve Sarkisian’s offense. The Longhorns hope Houston transfer wide receiver Matthew Golden will help fill that void next season.
