Even with the star studded receiver room that Texas is currently sporting, in about two years time there is a chance that they will lose all of the core they currently have.
This has Steve Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Brennan Marion looking for reinforcements to help shore up the position group and continue to bring in elite talent.
The Longhorns are scouring the 2023 class for pass catchers, but received unfortunate news via Twitter on Wednesday as one of their top receiver targets announced his commitment to West Virginia.
The Pennsylvania native expressed in his commitment video how important it was for him to stay close to home, and his high school is a little over half an hour away.

The do-it-all athlete was also a highly rated basketball recruit before deciding to focus on football. Gallagher has been a threat all over the field for Laurel Highlands as he has played quarterback as well. He is ranked as the No. 97 player in the country, No. 14 wide receiver, and No. 2 recruit in the state, according to 247Sports.
While Texas didn’t get his commitment, they will be tasked with shutting him down once a year.
