Texas re-offers four-star defensive end from Missouri

Steve Sarkisian’s staff recently re-offered four-star defensive end DJ Wesolak from Boonville, Missouri.

Newly hired Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is continuing to build new relationships with recruits.

Over the last few weeks, Sarkisian’s staff has been busy re-offering several of the nation’s top prospects from the 2022 recruiting class. The latest recruit to receive a re-offer from Texas is four-star defensive end DJ Wesolak.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound playmaker is listed as the No. 7 overall player in Missouri out of the 2022 class according to Rivals.com. He’s compiled over 30 offers from well-respected programs such as Notre Dame, Michigan State, Penn State, Oregon, Washington, and Nebraska.

Along with the Longhorns, five other Big 12 programs are targeting Wesolak — Iowa State, Oklahoma, Kansas State, West Virginia, and Kansas. Sarkisian has built a strong coaching staff that is highlighted with a few of college football’s top recruiters, therefore they should be able to pick up the pieces left behind from former head coach Tom Herman.
