Texas’ wide receiver room is stacked and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down with Steve Sarkisian’s next target for the 2025 class.
On Tuesday, a prediction was entered for four-star wide receiver Kelshaun Johnson to commit to the Longhorns by On3’s Gerry Hamilton. A decision is not imminent, but it’s likely he will land in Austin.
Johnson is rated the No. 9 wide receiver in the nation for the 2025 class, according to 247Sports. The Houston native is very explosive and can cut on a dime, resulting in significant yards after the catch.
247Sports scouting analyst Gabe Brooks had the following to say about Johnson:
Flashes twitchy, creative run-after-catch ability with sudden redirecting explosion. Good get-off at the line coupled with impressive acceleration. Simply faster than his foes at the TXHSFB small-school level. Owns strong multi-sport context with basketball experience and sub-11.00 100-meter speed.
