Texas running back Bijan Robinson is no doubt a superstar in the making.
As a true freshman last season, Robinson lived up to the hype as the former five-star prospect and nation’s top running back in the 2020 recruiting class averaged an impressive 8.2 yards per carry.
He totaled 703 yards and four touchdowns in just 86 rushing attempts in 2020, largely due in part to former head coach Tom Herman choosing to split carries between Keaontay Ingram, Roschon Johnson and Robinson.
Robinson’s carries and stats are expected to skyrocket under new head coach Steve Sarkisian’s offensive system, where he values running backs and consistently feeds his playmakers.
Walter Camp Football recently listed Robinson as a 2021 Preseason Second Team All-American. Two Big 12 players were listed on the first team offense in Iowa State’s Breece Hall and Charlie Kolar and one player from the conference made the first team defense in Oklahoma’s Nick Bonitto.

Robinson joined Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler on the second team offense. No other Longhorns were selected.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation is a well-respected volunteer organization that began announcing All-American teams in 1889. In total, 29 different schools from eight conferences were represented on the Preseason All-America First and Second teams for 2021.
