Texas RB Bijan Robinson makes ESPN’s early All-America team for 2022

Bijan Robinson headlines ESPN’s 2022 way-too-early All-America team.

Although the season has been over for about a week, college football fans and media members are already looking forward to the 2022 season.

Texas fans in particular are one of the biggest fan bases trying to forget all the pain that they endured during Steve Sarkisian’s first season, when the team went 5-7 and showed no signs of being back.

However, with a highly ranked recruiting class and several talented transfer portal additions, things are looking up for Longhorns fans.

To make matters even better, they are returning superstar running back Bijan Robinson, who is arguably the best player at his position in the entire nation. Robinson finished the 2021 season with 195 rushes for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also added 26 catches for 295 yards and four touchdown catches, all before he dislocated his elbow and missed the final two games.

It was evident that he was one of the nation’s elite playmakers, and he is still considered as such, as ESPN named him to their 2022 way-too-early All-America team. He joins players such as Alabama’s Bryce Young and Pitt’s Jordan Addison on the offensive side of the ball. Here is what ESPN had to say about Texas’ workhorse running back:

It’s no revelation that the Longhorns weren’t very good last season, but Robinson remains one of the most electric running backs in college football and still managed to rush for 1,127 yards and score 15 touchdowns in 10 games. He missed the last two contests with a dislocated elbow. Look for Robinson to have his best season yet in 2022 with his ability to make plays in both the running and passing games.

Texas will need him to be healthy and shine like he has in the past in order to take some of the pressure off the passing game regardless of who is starting. If he can stay healthy, Robinson is poised for a career year that may possibly help the Longhorns reach success they haven’t seen in a while.
