Texas QB Arch Manning’s trading card surpasses $100,000

The bidding ends at 8 p.m. CT tonight.

Earlier this week the college football world learned of Arch Manning’s first NIL deal with card company Panini America.

While most college athletes profit off of their NIL deals, Manning is actually donating 100% of the proceeds to a Central Texas non-profit with the help of St. David’s HealthCare and St. David’s Foundation in Austin, Texas. The winner of the Manning sweepstakes will win a one-of-one “Prizm black” signed card.

On top of the card, they also get to meet Manning, play catch with him, and help present the check.

As you could imagine, the bids have been flying in for this card, as sports memorabilia is as relevant as it ever has been. As of Tuesday, the bidding had surpassed $40,000, and now that Friday has come and gone it is now over $100,000. The deadline for the bidding is set for 8 p.m. CT on Saturday.

It’s nice to see an athlete with as much popularity as Manning use his NIL to do a good deed, and it is also fascinating to see how far people will go to get a piece of history. Manning is expected to compete with Maalik Murphy for the starting quarterback job in 2024.
