Texas opens as one score favorites against West Virginia per BetMGM

Coming off two-straight victories, the Texas Longhorns open as one score favorites against the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Texas will face off against West Virginia at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in a crucial Big 12 matchup.

According to BetMGM, Texas opens as 7.5 point favorites against the West Virginia Mountaineers. Last week against Oklahoma State, the Longhorns opened as underdogs as the Mountaineers were favorites against Kansas State.

West Virginia easily handled the Kansas State Wildcats 37-10 while Texas needed overtime to take down the Oklahoma State Cowboys. This matchup features two teams with 4-2 records and 3-2 in conference. The winner stays in the conversation for the Big 12 Championship.

The Mountaineers have matchups with Texas, Oklahoma Sooners and Iowa State Cyclones coming up. They are as much in the thick of the title hunt as the Longhorns are. The top scoring offense in the Big 12 (Texas) and the top total defense (West Virginia) will be quite the matchup on Saturday.

Line: Texas (-7.5)

O/U: 58.5
