Texas OL Junior Angilau enters the NCAA transfer portal

Junior Angilau missed the 2022 season due to a torn ACL.

Texas offensive lineman Junior Angilau entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday.

It’s no surprise that Angilau has decided to leave the Texas football program as he was honored at the team’s senior day. Some assumed he would declare for the 2023 NFL draft, but he’s officially made the decision to enter the portal as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.

Angilau missed the 2022 season with a torn ACL. Several young offensive linemen were able to seamlessly step in and provide solid performances throughout the course of the season and leave the position group in good standing moving forward.

There will likely be many suitors interested in landing the experienced, quality offensive lineman with great leadership skills.

Angilau now becomes Texas’ ninth player to enter the portal since Dec. 5.
