Steve Sarkisian values speed on the roster and his Texas coaching staff often emphasizes the benefits of football players running track.
Sarkisian’s latest offer was to a two-way player for Buford High School that also excels in track. Three-star athlete Isaiah Bond announced on Monday that he received an offer from the University of Texas.
He’s listed as the No. 33 overall player in Georgia from the 2022 recruiting class according to 247Sports. While he’s labeled as a versatile athlete, he’s projected to play cornerback at the collegiate level.
Bond has compiled an impressive list of offers including Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Wisconsin and Florida. The 6-0, 175-pound playmaker currently has a crystal ball prediction that favors Miami.
