Texas offers five-star offensive tackle from Virginia

Texas is now targeting a highly sought-after five-star offensive tackle in the 2021 recruiting class.

Texas sent an offer to an athletic, long-armed offensive lineman on Friday.

Head coach Tom Herman knows that games are won in the trenches. As many of the recent offers distributed by Texas have been targeting high-end defensive lineman, a five-star offensive tackle is now in the mix.

The Longhorns are pursuing Tristan Leigh out of Fairfax, Virginia. The Adidas All-American is currently rated the No.15 overall player in the nation for the 2021 recruiting class according to 247Sports composite.

Leigh has received numerous offers from well-respected programs such as Alabama, Clemson, LSU and Ohio State. While Crystal Ball predictions have Leigh currently leaning towards Clemson, the Longhorns could make a splash if they’re aggressive over the next few months.
