Texas desperately needs to land a few quality offensive lineman in the next few recruiting classes.
After whiffing on the Brockermeyer twins earlier this year, Texas also had a decommitment from three-star center Michael Myslinksi this week. As of now, the Longhorns only have two offensive lineman commits in the 2021 recruiting class — both are considered three-star players.
In hopes of improving this position group, Texas is now targeting four-star offensive tackle Austin Uke out of Dallas, Texas. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound playmaker has compiled an impressive list of offers that includes USC, Penn State, Florida State and Stanford.
Uke is considered a top 50 player in the state of Texas according to 247Sports. The Longhorns will have to put their best foot forward — and quickly — in order to land him.
