Texas now has a top five 2022 recruiting class in the country after flipping three commits on Wednesday

Steve Sarkisian and his staff are on fire.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff were able to flip three commits from Ohio State, Oklahoma and Michigan on Wednesday.

Five-star cornerback Terrance Brooks, three-star athlete Xavion Brice, and three-star DL Ethan Burke all backed off of their pledges and chose to sign with Texas during the early signing period.

On top of that, the majority of commits in Texas’ 2022 class officially signed with the Longhorns on Wednesday as well. Texas now holds the No. 5 class in the country for the 2022 cycle.

There are still a few priority targets left on the board, including five-star offensive lineman Devon Campbell, which could certainly bump Texas up to the No. 4 class.

Here are the top 10 recruiting classes in the country for the 2022 cycle as of 10:30 a.m. CT Wednesday:

  1. Georgia
  2. Texas A&M
  3. Alabama
  4. Ohio State
  5. Texas
  6. Penn State
  7. Notre Dame
  8. North Carolina
  9. Michigan
  10. Oklahoma

After a 5-7 record on the season, coupled with this being Steve Sarkisian’s first full recruiting class at Texas, it’s quite an impressive haul. All signs are pointing upwards for the Longhorns.
