2024 power forward Marcus Adams Jr. has narrowed down his recruitment to five schools.

Texas made the cut for Adams, along with Syracuse, Oregon, Mississippi State and UCLA. A decision is expected from Adams within the next month. Some believe Adams may hit the college ranks early and reclassify to the class of 2023.

Adams is a multi-level scorer who profiles as an impact player on both sides of the ball. His 6-foot-8 frame and athleticism give Adams a high upside moving forward with his career.

247Sports lists Adams as the No. 6 player in the state of California and the No. 16 small forward in the 2024 cycle. He is one of the quickest-rising prospects in his class.

Adams is one of the more productive high school players in the nation, averaging 30 points and 10 rebounds per game for Narbonne High School.
