The Running Backs
Grade: A-
Bijan Robinson was by far and way the best back on Saturday against West Virginia. He got off to a hot start taking the first carry of the game 54 yards to get into Mountaineers territory. Overall he carried the rock 12 times for 113 yards. He set a career high for himself and a season high for the Longhorns. It surpassed Ehlinger’s 112-yard performance against the Sooners.
Overall Robinson touched the ball 14 times for 151 yards. He averaged 10.8 yards per touch. His performance earned him Big 12 Conference’s Newcomer of the Week honors. The only thing missing from Bijan’s game was a scoring play. Although on his highlight reel run, you can’t convince me that he went out of bounds.

The only other back to carry the ball was Roschon Johnson. He was called upon 10 times for 29 total yards, that is just 2.9 yards per carry. The team didn’t ask him to carry the weight of the running game but he is usually more consistent than that. Overall the backs were good but not great as a whole. Bijan on the other hand was closer to great with some of his runs.
