Texas Longhorns vs West Virginia: Game grades from the 17-13 win

Following the Texas Longhorns win over the West Virginia Mountaineers, we are handing out grades in the virtual report card.

Secondary

Grade: B+

The Longhorns secondary did give up their second-consecutive 300 yard passing effort. They didn’t allow a single passing touchdown after giving up four a week ago to Oklahoma State. This was the third time this year the defense accomplished that feat (UTEP, TCU).

Jalen Green, Chris Brown and B.J. Foster each provided a pass breakup. They were instrumental in the fourth quarter in getting two fourth down stops as the Mountaineers tried to take the lead but ultimately fell short. The defense held WVU to just 4.7 yards per attempt. Their lowest number since the opener against UTEP.
