Texas Longhorns vs Texas Tech: RB Tale of the Tape

In our ongoing preview of Texas Longhorns vs Texas Tech we preview the backs. Ingram vs Thompson in the running back tale of the tape.

A new game week in the Big 12 Conference means a new game to prepare for. The Texas Tech Red Raiders are set to host the Texas Longhorns in their Big 12 opener on Sept. 26. Both teams are fresh off wins in their lone nonconference game of the year. The Longhorns game was over midway through the first quarter while Tech came down to the wire in a two-point victory.

Previously we looked at the quarterbacks in our tale of the tape. So we shift our focus to another member of the backfield, the running back position.  The Longhorns have multiple running backs that can be on the field, while the same can be said for Tech. The primary backs of focus in the tale of the tape are Keaontay Ingram and SoRodorick Thompson. Both had different games in the opener. Ingram only managed about nine touches while Thompson finished with 24.
