Texas Longhorns Football: Three concerns going into Texas Tech

Texas will travel to Lubbock on Saturday to begin Big 12 conference play. Here are three concerns going into the Texas Tech matchup:

A plethora of wide receivers for Texas Tech

If Alan Bowman is going to be an area of concern, his plethora of receivers will be as well. Against Houston Baptist, Bowman spread the ball to 11 different receivers. Slot receiver KeSean Carter led the Red Raiders, finishing with six receptions, 86 yards, and a touchdown.

Carter burned the Longhorns last season, going for 150 yards and a touchdown on 11 catches. Nickelback Chris Adimora will have an important assignment on Saturday.

On the outside, T.J. Vasher provides a matchup nightmare for Texas. Listed at 6-6, 215 pounds the Z-receiver for Texas Tech will be matched up against D’Shawn Jamison or Josh Thompson. With a multitude of Red Raiders have, they will be able to throw the ball around, no matter who is out there.
