On the first play from scrimmage, Sam Ehlinger connected with Joshua Moore for a 78-yard touchdown. Running a run-pass option with Roschon Johnson, Ehlinger decided to pull the ball and hit Moore on the slant. He was soon off to the races.

Nobody made contact with the wide receiver, proving he is one of the fastest players on the field. Being on the first play, it showed how Texas was going to run their offense this season. Fast-paced with the ability to take it to the house at any moment.
