Texas LB Ayodele Adeoye has re-entered the transfer portal

Adeoye is back in the transfer portal.

Texas linebacker Ayodele Adeoye entered his name into the transfer portal on Tuesday morning.

Throughout his collegiate career in Austin, Adeoye has made 10 starts tallying 62 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one interception. The former four-star prospect out of Saint Louis got the majority of his playing time during the 2019 season. He played sparingly since then but has not been able to crack the starting lineup.

This marks the second time Adeoye has entered the portal. The linebacker explored his options last offseason before deciding on staying in Austin.

Adeoye will enter the portal as a graduate transfer and will be immediately eligible wherever he ends up.

Texas has now lost two linebackers to the transfer portal this offseason. Freshman Terrence Cooks entered his name in the portal on Nov 4.

Whether they use the portal or high school recruits, bringing in more impact players at linebacker needs to be near the top of the priority list for Steve Sarkisian and Pete Kwiatkowski.
