Texas Football: Wish list of uncommitted prospects in the 2022 class

Five recruits that Texas is in the mix for to close out the 2022 cycle.

Steve Sarkisian and his staff have put together an exceptional 2022 recruiting class for Texas up to this point.

Even after an underwhelming 5-7 record last season, the Longhorns currently hold the No. 5 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. It also includes the top transfer player on the market, five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers.

While Texas is still likely to add additional transfers over the coming weeks to fill some holes on the roster, particularly at wide receiver, there’s only a couple spots left in their class in terms of the uncommitted prospects for the 2022 cycle.

There’s no doubt that five-star offensive lineman Devon Campbell and five-star linebacker Harold Perkins are the top two remaining targets on Texas’ board. While Campbell is a favorite to land in Austin, it appears Perkins is leaning towards College Station.

In the spirit of Christmas, Longhorns Wire has compiled a wish list of uncommitted prospects to close out the 2022 recruiting cycle. Each of these five players have ties to Texas and have not signed with another program up to this point.
