Coming into the 2019 season as a freshman, Jordan Whittington was expected to play running back. After an injury, the emergence of Roschon Johnson, and the commitment of Bijan Robinson, the former five-star will now be transitioning to wide receiver.

Due to his 6-1 size and incredible athletic ability, Whittington will be lining up in the slot for most plays. A true athlete, getting the ball in Whittington’s hand and letting him take care of the rest is how to successfully use him. Quick in any direction, he will make people miss.

A reaggravated groin injury from high school caused him to miss all of 2019 but is expected to be fully healthy and ready to go for 2020. Used to playing multiple positions in high school, transitioning to wide receiver will be nothing new for Whittington. Circle his name as a breakout star for Texas this season.
