Defensive back is one of the key position groups for Texas in its 2022 recruiting cycle.
As things stand, four-star cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau and four-star safety Bryan Allen Jr. are members of the class. On Wednesday, the Longhorns grew closer to potentially landing another in-state name.
Austin Jordan, a four-star prospect out of Denton Ryan High School, has announced his top three schools. Red River rivals Oklahoma and Ohio State join Texas in the pursuit of the cornerback.
Texas signee Ja’Tavion Sanders also attended Denton Ryan, where he and Jordan won a 5A-DI state championship this past season. The Sooners also have a recent Raider connection, with cornerback/wide receiver Billy Bowman heading to Norman.
