Texas had a multiple injury scares in Saturday’s scrimmage. Those incidents bring to light the importance of depth for any team wishing to contend.
Texas fans owe Steve Sarkisian and Brennan Marion a debt of gratitude for the depth they have built at receiver. The possibility of losing Isaiah Neyor for any amount of time is cringeworthy, but Texas for its on-field product has players to step in and play.
Certainly, any injury makes one cringe for the player as an individual. Thankfully for Neyor, the Wyoming transfer was able to walk off the field.
Should the injury be more serious than expected, the talented player will be difficult to replace. Neyor and Xavier Worthy were presumably the safest bets at receiver, considering others’ injury history and off-field issues.
In light of the latest Agiye Hall news, Jordan Whittington, Tarique Milton and Troy Omeire will need to be relied upon this year.
