As national signing day comes to a close, we’ve created a tracker to meet the new members of Texas’ 2021 recruiting class.
It’s considered a transition class from Tom Herman to Steve Sarkisian, therefore the national ranking (No. 17) is lower than typical expectations. In each of the previous three years, the Longhorns secured a top-10 class.
However, Sarkisian hit the ground running and has had a hot start on the recruiting trail since arriving in Austin. It provides further confidence recruiting will not be an issue, and the Longhorns will build another top-10 class in the near future.
Texas signed four-star cornerback Ishmael Ibraheem on Feb. 3 after legal troubles halted his goal of signing his letter of intent in December. Ibraheem is the highest-rated cornerback in Texas’ class and joins five-star athlete Ja’Tavion Sanders and four-star safety J.D. Coffey atop the class.
