Texas football COVID-19 cases up to six players

Texas has had an increase in coronavirus cases. There are now six players who have contracted the virus according to OrangeBloods.com.

According to Anwar Richardson of OrangeBloods.com, Texas’ football team has had an increase in coronavirus cases. Richardson is reporting there are now six players who have contracted the virus, up from the initial two players on June 10.

15 total players are self-isolating themselves as they either have the virus or have been in direct contact with someone who has it.

Neither the university nor Tom Herman has made a statement yet.

Texas is not the only football program having players test positive. Other Big 12 schools such as Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and West Virginia have all had players test positive for COVID-19.

Nobody is quite sure how the coronavirus is going to effect the 2020 season. Governor Greg Abbott has stated there will be live sports and capacity can get as high as 50%.

Two current Longhorns weren’t exactly thrilled with the report that six Longhorns tested positive.
