Texas falls to No. 6 in latest US LBM Coaches Poll

After getting manhandled at home by Georgia, the Texas Longhorns fall all the way to No. 6 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

Texas’ flat performance against Georgia is proving to be very costly. The Bulldogs dominated the Longhorns in Austin 30-15. The first ramification is a six spot drop in US LBM Coaches Poll. Texas is now No. 6, behind fifth ranked Miami.

Meanwhile, UGA jumped all the way up to second in the poll, behind new No. 1 Oregon.

The ‘Dawgs out played Texas in every facet of the game in a complete humbling of the Longhorns. All the plaudits and praise from the first seven weeks of the season are out the window. All of the possible negatives, like a weak early season schedule, are now real negatives.

In one night, Texas went from “the” team to just one of the teams hoping to get into the college football playoff.

The other big fall was Alabama, who dropped eight spots to No. 15 after losing in Knoxville to Tennessee.
