On Tuesday, three-star running back De’Anthony Gatson announced via Twitter that he received an offer from the University of Texas.
Gatson is a top-100 player from the state of Texas in the 2022 recruiting class and the No. 42 prospect at his position according to 247Sports composite rankings.
The Newton, Texas, native has received over 20 scholarship offers including Iowa State, Michigan, Michigan State, Baylor, USC, Oklahoma State, TCU, USC and Texas Tech.
At Newton High School in 2020, Gatson was named the District 12-3A-II Overall MVP as a junior. The year prior, he was recognized as the Offensive Newcomer of the Year.
