The Longhorns have joined the sweepstakes early for 2024 prospect Jason Brown.

It’s too early in his recruitment for him to be graded by national recruiting websites, but Brown will become a highly sought-after prospect in the coming months.

Texas was one of the first five programs to extend an offer to the Seattle native, joining Utah, Washington, USC and Nevada. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound versatile athlete appeared ecstatic to receive an offer from Texas, stating via his personal Twitter account that he can recall watching videos throughout his childhood of Texas greats Ricky Williams and Earl Campbell.

According to 247Sports, Texas running backs coach Stan Drayton is listed as Brown’s primary recruiter, which means he will likely become a running back prospect as his recruitment progresses.
