Texas commits are pushing hard to recruit other elite uncommitted prospects via social media

Putting in work! The 2022 commits are advocating hard for Texas across all social media.

Even with their season coming to close and nothing to show for it but a disappointing 5-7 record, Texas’ football program has a prime opportunity to bring in some of the nation’s top talent.

Texas currently holds the No. 7 class in the nation according to 247Sports’ 2022 class rankings. However, the Longhorns have the chance to jump into the top five if they’re able to land a few more blue-chip prospects.

Some of their top 2022 commits like running back Jaydon Blue, Brenen Thompson, Derrick Brown, and Justice Finkley among others have been advocating on behalf of Texas to recruit other elite uncommitted prospects to Austin.

There have been frequent tweets from the current Texas pledges, which is often a reminder to other recruits that they believe Austin is the place to be.

Brown and a slew of commits, and even current players such as running back Bijan Robinson and wide receiver Xavier Worthy, joined in on an Instagram Live video on Sunday evening to chat with recruits who they are trying to convince to come to the Forty Acres.

Whether Texas is able to snag any of these recruits is yet to be seen, but the efforts from the commits in the current class are unlike any other Texas class in the past.

The class of 2022 seems to take a lot of pride in trying to be the class that brings Texas back, and they very well seem like they have the hype and enthusiasm that will bring the program success.
