Steve Sarkisian and the Texas coaching staff made the offensive line a priority over the offseason.
The Longhorns brought in an exceptionally talented seven-man freshman class highlighted by five-stars Kelvin Banks and Devon Campbell.
The freshman group is already standing out just days into fall camp. Star running back Bijan Robinson is raving about the newcomers and the returners from last season.
“This offseason, they’ve been working extremely hard on different things, on how to make the run game that much better, setting up holes, setting up angles. I see a lot of angles that are setting up to create open space. Even just these two practices — I know they’re not in pads yet — but I see so much improvement on the offensive line.”
An improved offensive line could spearhead the Texas offense to new heights this season. More protection for the winner of the quarterback battle and more holes for Robinson in the rushing attack is a recipe for success.
