The Texas Longhorns (17-7) went into in Ft. Worth, coming off a scary finish against Oklahoma, where they lost a big lead but ultimately escaped with a win. The Horned Frogs (12-13) came in looking to end their season on a high note. The Longhorns got the better of TCU for the second time this season, winning by a score of 76-64.
Texas’ guard trio were destitute to start the game, but finished the contest on serious high notes for a combined 43 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists on 55.6% shooting from the field and 64.2% from the three.
Mike Miles and RJ Nembhard continued to be the focal point of TCU in the second half, but wasn’t enough to overcome Texas. In fact, TCU only held the lead once all game.
Texas finishes the regular season with three consecutive wins prior to the Big 12 tournament starting up this week.
