On Monday, the good news continued to surround redshirt junior as he was named the Big 12 Player of the Week after averaging 19.5 points per game.

Jones and Brown have been crucial to the Longhorns sudden success this season and are certainly deserving of these honors. Head coach Shaka Smart’s squad is currently the No. 4 team in the country in the latest AP poll.
Baylor is the highest-ranked Big 12 program at No. 2. Kansas, West Virginia and Texas Tech are each within the top 25. The Longhorns face a tough battle with the Red Raiders on Jan. 13 in Austin.
