No. 8 – Texas baseball upsetting No. 6 Arkansas
The Longhorns headed to Houston, TX to play in the Shriners Hospitals For Children College Classic. Playing LSU, Arkansas, and Missouri, Texas went 1-2 throughout the three games.
However, the one win came against a top 10 team in the country in No. 6 Arkansas. Handing the Razorbacks their second loss of the season, the Longhorns won 8-7.
Zach Zubia was the player of the game for Texas, going 3-4 with three RBIs. Two of those runs came in the top of the second when he hit a ball into deep left-center field.

Even after leading 8-0 after the second, Arkansas clawed their way back and made it an 8-7 game. Freshman pitcher Andre Duplantier came in to get the save, striking out UA’s Casey Opitz and Casey Martin to end the game.
Texas improved to 10-1 on the year and finished the season 14-3.
