Texas among top schools for four-star WR, three-sport athlete from Louisiana

The Longhorns were mentioned among four-star wide receiver Keon Coleman’s top schools on Sunday.

Texas is still in the running for four-star wide receiver Keon Coleman.

On Sunday, Coleman announced the final nine schools that he will focus on to finish out his recruiting cycle. Texas, Virginia Tech, USC, Michigan State, University of Houston, Ole Miss, Florida A&M, and Grambling State each made the list.

He also mentioned the final eight schools on the basketball side, Texas made the cut for each sport.

The Opelousas Catholic School product is a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track. He currently holds Division I offers in both football and basketball.

Coleman is the No. 12 overall player from the state of Louisiana out of the 2021 recruiting class. He possesses an impressive frame and is a dynamic, explosive playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. As a junior, he scored 22 touchdowns on 35 catches and 32.7 yards per catch.

He plans to announce his commitment on Feb. 3, 2021. According to 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, Coleman is expected to choose Kansas. However, the Jayhawks aren’t mentioned within his final schools.
