Texas A&M legend Dante Hall set to be inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Ring of Honor

Wide receiver Dante Hall, both an Aggie and Kansas City Chiefs legend, is set to be inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Ring of honor on Sunday

An absolute legend on the gridiron in both college and the NFL, former Texas A&M and Kansas City Chiefs running back, wide receiver, and elite return specialist Dante Hall is set to be inducted into the Chiefs Ring of Honor on Sunday afternoon amid Kansas City’s home matchup vs. the Los Angelas Chargers.

During Hall’s illustrious four seasons with the Maroon and White, he recorded 4,706 all-purpose yards, which is ranked fourth in program history, leading to his induction into the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame in 2021.

Drafted by Kansas City in the 5th Round of the 2000 NFL Draft, Hall quickly became one of the premier playmakers for the franchise, gaining the nickname “X-Factor” and “The Human Joystick” while setting numerous team records, including career kick return yards (8,644), career kick return touchdowns (6) career punt return touchdowns (5), and career All-purpose yards (12,356) during his 2000-2006 run with the Franchise.

Hall received an All-Pro selection as a return specialist during the 2003 season, amassing 1,950 punt and kick return yards and four total touchdowns (2 Punts, two kicks).

Earlier this year, Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt released a statement regarding Hall’s induction into the Franchise’s Hall of Fame, as his return records will likely stand for years to come.

“My family and I are delighted to announce Dante as this year’s inductee into the Chiefs Hall of Fame,” Hunt said. “It’s not every day you get to witness a generational talent at the returner position, but Chiefs Kingdom was blessed to witness Dante’s talent for seven seasons.

“His quickness, agility and pure athleticism as a returner and wide receiver cemented him as one of the franchise’s greats. Following his playing career, Dante joined the Kansas City Ambassador program and has been an active participant in the brand’s international expansion efforts. We are looking forward to celebrating Dante’s Hall of Fame induction at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium this fall.”

Congratulations, Dante! And as always, Gig ‘Em!
