Texas A&M left hanging in latest AP Top 25 Poll update following Week 3

Despite a 47-3 win over ULM, Texas A&M still has to win the confidence of the AP Top 25 Poll voters after being shut-out in the latest rankings update.

Texas A&M (2-1) got a huge confidence boost with their 47-3 win over UL Monroe (2-1) over the weekend. As it pertains to winning the confidence of the AP Top 25 Poll voters, there’s still some work to do.

The Aggies were once again shut out of the latest AP Top 25 Poll, which saw the top of the rankings virtually unchanged through Week 3.

No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Michigan held firm to sit atop this week’s AP Top 25, while No. 5 USC, No. 6 Ohio State, No. 7 Penn State, No. 8 Washington, and No. 9 Notre Dame all stayed put. Oregon jumped up three spots to round out the top 10.

No. 3 Texas and No. 4 Florida State swapped spots in the latest rankings update, but both remain a perfect 3-0 through three weeks of football. No. 13 Alabama dropped three spots to tumble out of the top 10 for the first time since 2015. After scraping by USF on Saturday, their drop snaps a streak of 128  consecutive AP poll appearances ranked in the top 10.
