Texans place DE Mario Addison on injured reserve among other roster moves

The Houston Texans placed DE Mario Addison on injured reserve as part of their roster moves ahead of Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Houston Texans made five roster moves ahead of their Week 1 showdown with the Indianapolis Colts Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at NRG Stadium.

The first move was to place defensive end Mario Addison (thigh) on injured reserve.

The Texans also tinkered with their practice squad as they signed linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis and defensive end Demone Harris from the practice squad to the active roster.

Houston also designated quarterback Jeff Driskel and receiver Chris Conley as their standard elevations from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.

The Texans have fortified their front seven and given quarterback Davis Mills another weapon in the passing game.
