Taking a look at Texas’ program trajectory after landing Arch Manning

The college football world can see where Texas is going.

The college football world can see where Texas is going.

After five-star quarterback Arch Manning placed his stamp of approval on Steve Sarkisian’s vision, it’s not difficult to see where the Longhorns can go from here.

Manning’s commitment speaks to his willingness to ignore groupthink and make his own decision.

Sarkisian schemed up touchdown after touchdown last season, but some plays misfired thanks to user error. Arch could see that. In the end, Manning still chose Texas.

Some of the more cynical Texas fans were pining for the Tom Herman era during last season’s humbling run. They might change their tune.

In the last year, Sarkisian has hauled in the No. 1 overall recruit in two different classes, both quarterbacks. Texas added four starting caliber receivers in the transfer portal, including tight end Jahleel Billingsley. If you can’t see where the program is headed, you’re missing the forest for the trees.

Trust the process. Texas is trending up.
