Learning from mistakes

While the NFL is coming back in September, MLB games already have. But it hasn’t gone according to the plan fully. The Marlins play in Miami and Florida is on of the current hot spots for coronavirus. Several members of the Marlins organization have recently tested positive for COVID-19 and the team has had to postpone several days of games.

In regard to the Bills coach, McDermott did not say anything critical about the Marlins, explaining the current state of the world is new to everyone. But he did say the Marlins ongoings should be understood and taken into account.

“The Marlins situation is unfortunate. I think the reality of our situation is, that could be another team. There could be another situation like that. We are trying to learn from that situation. I think we’d be wrong if we didn’t try to learn from that situation,” McDermott said.

“This is new for all of us. Whether it’s a sports team in this case or just people trying to live their lives,” McDermott added. “We have to control our control-ables. Be disciplined in our approach and even with that, we’ll pick up some positives [tests] and those will be unfortunate, but we support our players and staff through those situations.”
