The excitement is building to a head in anticipation of tonight’s Southeastern Conference Championship Game between the No. 11 Florida Gators and the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Kick off is less than two hours away and the Gators Nation is amped about its chance to bring the SEC crown back to Gainesville and vie for a spot in the 2020 College Football Playoff. But it will not be easy against the undefeated juggernaut that is the Crimson Tide. ‘Bama is strongly favored to win this one — by more than two touchdowns according to BetMGM — but championship games are where legends are forged from the heat of the prime time lights.
Despite the odds, excitement abounds among the university and its loyal fans who together have made it through one of the most bizarre and difficult seasons of college football in the past century. While one more game awaits the Gators after this one, there are few things better than the bragging rights that come along with the SEC championship.
