Highlights: Warriors splash consecutive corner 3-pointers inside The Dubble at offseason minicamp

Before they wrapped up their offseason minicamp, a trio of Golden State Warriors splashed consecutive 3-pointers at practice in The Dubble.

After a seven month layoff, members of the Golden State Warriors recently made their long-awaited return to the practice floor at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

The Warriors spent the past two weeks living and practicing in a campus-like atmosphere in San Francisco. Outside of Steph Curry and Draymond Green, the Warriors roster met with five Santa Cruz G League Warriors inside “The Dubble.”

Following two weeks of drills, conditioning and scrimmages, the Warriors wrapped up camp on Tuesday. Before the voluntary offseason minicamp closed, the Warriors shared some footage from practice on Twitter.

In one video, Damion Lee, Jordan Poole, Zach Norvell and Jeremy Pargo did their best Splash Brothers impression, drilling a series of 3-pointers from the corner.

Although it didn’t make the cut for the beyond the arc montage above, Klay Thompson’s jumper received a standalone feature on Golden State’s Twitter.

Along with long-distance shooting, the Warriors shared a clip on Twitter that featured a moment from a scrimmage. In the highlight video, soon to be NBA sophomore Ky Bowman drove to the cup past G Leaguer Ryan Taylor for a right-handed layup.

While it’s not the same as game-action, with no hoops on the calendar, highlights from inside The Dubble might be the next best option for a dose of Golden State Warriors basketball.

Following the end of camp in San Francisco, members of the Warriors will have to wait until they can officially meet on the court as a team.

With minicamp over, the calendar has officially flipped to draft season in the Bay Area. Steve Kerr and Bob Myers will have until Nov. 18 to craft their plans for the No. 2 overall selection in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Lakers to waive Zach Norvell, sign Devontae Cacok to two-way contract

Cacok leads the G League this season with 10 double-doubles while he is fifth in rebounding among all players.

The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly waiving rookie Zach Norvell Jr. and signing Devontae Cacok to a two-way contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Norvell was previously signed to a two-way contract with the Lakers after going undrafted out of Gonzaga. In 12 games with the South Bay Lakers, Norvell is averaging 13.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season in the G League.

Cacok was a standout with the Lakers during Summer League before joining the South Bay Lakers of the G League to start the season. Cacok is averaging 16.3 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 12 games played. He leads all G League players with 10 double-doubles and is fifth in rebounds.

Cacok started off the season by recording six straight double-doubles and has failed to accomplish the feat in only two games thus far. After scoring a season-high 21 points and 11 rebounds on Tuesday, Cacok has four straight double-doubles.

By signing a two-way contract, Cacok is eligible to spend up to 45 days in the NBA while playing the rest of the season in the G League with South Bay.
