The Falcons were embarrassed on Sunday, losing ugly in their home stadium to one of the worst teams in the NFL. As we pointed out in our 3 takeaways from the game, Atlanta’s special teams units actually did a great job of keeping the team in it, despite numerous offensive and defensive blunders.
Kicker Younghoe Koo was really good for the third game in a row, making all three field goal attempts and one extra point. Barry Werner of Touchdown Wire recognized Koo’s solid effort in his 28 elite performances of Week 12 piece:
A sweet story is how well Younghoe Koo has done for the Falcons since being signed to replace Matt Bryant. Koo added another three field goals and a PAT in the loss to the Bucs.
On the season, Koo is 10-11 on field goals and 5-5 on extra points, while replacing Falcons fan favorite, Matt Bryant.
Not all moves feel good at the time, however, Koo has validated the change and could be Atlanta’s kicker of the future.
