Johnny Knoxville heckled Sami Zayn throughout his Wrestlemania 39 moment

“I literally hope you break your leg. And your face.” — Johnny Knoxville

NSFW language AND Wrestlemania 39 spoilers are ahead. You’ve been warned.

Last year, Johnny Knoxville and Sami Zayn put together the greatest celebrity match in Wrestlemania history in a completely bonkers Anything Goes showdown. That match paid off a rivalry that had consumed months leading up to the 2022 event and even the red carpet of the Jackass 4 premiere.

Knoxville won that brawl with help from the rest of the Jackass family. But Zayn won the war, emerging from defeat to play a starring role in the WWE’s most compelling storyline of the last year. This led a a headlining match at Wrestlemania 39, where he and longtime frenemy Kevin Owens ended nearly two years of Uso dominance to claim the company’s undisputed tag team championships.

It was a finish that left the Los Angeles crowd cheering in adulation. Except for Knoxville, who made it clear he does not forget despite a career where a short memory would truly be an asset.

The video above is courtesy of Reddit user Yezsirskiis, who posted it Sunday afternoon. They went on to note this was not an isolated incident; Knoxville kept it up throughout the 24-minute match.

At first he was chanting “Sami Sucks” for a good 30 seconds by himself and finally someone turned around and noticed it was him.

Yezsirskiis wasn’t the only person to notice the hate emanating from the luxury booth.

And indeed, when the two were face-to-face earlier in the day, they declared their blood feud alive and well.

“I literally hope you break your leg. And your face,” Knoxville told his in-ring rival.

Despite the heckling, Zayn persevered and won tag team gold. Now he and Owens will have to take on all comers to defend the belts. Knoxville is 1-0 against Zayn all-time in the squared circle. The question now is whether he can recruit Chris Pontius, Steve-O or Jason “Wee Man” Acuna to make a run at the WWE titles.

Kevin Owens was the opposite of subtle trying to sneakily eat a Snickers after his tag-team win

It’s impossible to hide when on camera, and the wrapper makes a noise!

The main event of the first night of Wrestlemania 39 didn’t disappoint. (Nor did awesome earlier cameo appearances.)

A tag-team match featuring Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn squaring off against The Usos for the Tag Team Championship lived up to the hype and then some. Ultimately, Owens and Zayn would prevail after one heck of a show.

When the pair sat down to discuss their victory and its significance in the aftermath, they were surrounded by a sponsored item: various Snickers bars.

As Zayn tried to add color to the win and add additional meaning, Owens couldn’t resist. He helped himself to a Snickers right in front of his microphone. But Owens clearly didn’t want to interrupt Zayn.

So, he opened the wrapper slowly (while looking around to see who, if anyone, noticed) and took a quiet chomp while Zayn spoke.

Let’s just say everyone noticed:

Incredible. No notes. We might do the same if a candy bar just sat in front of us after an exhausting match.

Wrestlemania 39 schedule: The complete 12-match slate for Saturday and Sunday

When is the Universal Championship on the line? What about the Women’s Championship? Here’s how to keep up with the action.

You made it! We made it! We should pat ourselves on the back.

Another long grind of a year is behind us, and we can finally watch our favorite WWE superstars put on one heck of a show. This weekend in Southern California, the latest massive party in wrestling –Wrestlemania 39 — will take place.

But over two nights, there’s a lot to keep track of. Even if you’re paying for the whole show, you probably want to know when precisely to tune in for the premier battles. From John Cena’s latest title venture to Asuka pursuing her third Women’s Championship, here’s the list of matches to expect this weekend.

(Note: Exact time/schedule of each match is unclear at this moment)

When Wrestlemania turned into a two-night event, explained

Here’s when the biggest night in sports entertainment got even bigger.

The Greatest Wrestling Event of All Time is here!

Er, sorry, I should say: the greatest wrestling event this year.

That’s right; we’re talking about the lovely chaos of Wrestlemania 39. Over the next two evenings, the WWE’s biggest stars (and others) will gather in Southern California for wrestling’s flagship contest.

But, if you haven’t paid as much attention to the WWE as you would’ve liked recently, you might wonder: When did Wrestlemania turn into a two-night event? It used to be a lead Sunday card, and that was it, right?

The answer here is simple: In 2020, for Wrestlemania 36, in reaction to the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The show was taped and held over two evenings in late March 2020, then later aired on tape delay on its usual early April weekend.

The show was initially planned as a one-night event to air live from Tampa Bay, but the WWE made safety adjustments/shifts in light of the pandemic. Wrestlemania 36 was only attended by essential personnel and was the first-ever Wrestlemania with no fans in attendance.

Wrestlemania has been a two-night smorgasbord of between-the-ropes goodness ever since.

George Kittle clotheslines The Miz at WrestleMania 39

George Kittle delivered a huge hit at WrestleMania 39 on The Miz

WrestleMania took place at SoFi Stadium on Saturday night.

It may be the home of the Los Angeles Rams but on this evening the San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle was at home.

Pat McAfee was wrestling The Miz when the former reality star decided to take umbrage with the Niners’ great tight end.

Kittle, who loves pro wrestling, hopped the barrier, and clotheslined The Miz, setting the stage for McAfee to leap off the top of the ring corner en route to victory.
