Four-star defensive lineman includes Wisconsin in top eight programs

Four-star defensive lineman includes Wisconsin in top eight programs

The Wisconsin Badgers football team was included in the top eight programs for four-star class of 2025 defensive lineman Juju Marks on Sunday.

Marks is a junior at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Kansas and he has slowly been narrowing down his potential college destinations.

He is 247Sports’ No. 370 player in the class of 2025, No. 31 offensive tackle and No. 6 recruit from his home state of Kansas.

In total, the 6-foot-7, 270-pound athlete has received 35 Division 1 offers, so Wisconsin being in his top eight certainly is notable. The Badgers are competing with Oregon and USC within the Big Ten, plus Alabama, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Kansas and Missouri.

Marks still has plenty of time to make a decision on where he’ll attend college in 2025, but if Luke Fickell and his staff can reel him in, he’d be a huge addition to their recruiting class.

Wisconsin extends scholarship offer to three-star DT from Cincinnati

Wisconsin extends scholarship offer to three-star DT from Cincinnati

The Wisconsin Badgers football team offered Drayden Pavey, a three-star class of 2025 defensive lineman from Cincinnati, Ohio, on Sunday. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound athlete is a junior in high school, so he has two years before making the jump to the collegiate level.

Pavey has now reeled in 19 Division 1 offers, including Indiana, Purdue and Wisconsin in the Big Ten, and Cincinnati from the Big 12. He has experience playing both sides of the ball, also operating as an offensive lineman in high school.

Based on his overall size, Pavey is an intriguing option for Luke Fickell’s staff in Madison, who have not received a commitment on the defensive line for their class of 2025.

The Wisconsin Badgers football team offered Jojo Scott, a three-star class of 2025 cornerback from Lakeland, Florida, on Sunday. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound athlete is a junior at Victory Christian Academy and still has one more year before he’d potentially make the leap to the collegiate level.

Scott has now received 20 Division 1 offers, including from Kansas, Kansas State and Oregon State. Wisconsin was the first Big Ten program to offer him, though Maryland has also shown interest.

Scott has played both wide receiver and cornerback in high school. He is also a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball and competing in track & field events.

So far, Wisconsin has received a commitment from one cornerback in the class of 2025: three-star Jaimer Scott from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Wisconsin cracks the final list of programs for four-star edge rusher

Wisconsin cracks the final list of programs for four-star edge rusher

The Wisconsin Badgers football team was included in the narrowed-down list of programs that four-star class of 2025 edge rusher Jayden Woods is considering for his commitment.

Woods initially trimmed down his list of potential landing spots to 13 teams in February and he is now choosing between Wisconsin, Purdue, Penn State, Florida and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound athlete is from Shawnee, Kansas, and he still has one more year of high school football before he’d potentially make the leap to the collegiate level. He is currently ranked as the No. 155 player in the class of 2025, No. 18 edge rusher and No. 5 recruit from the state of Kanssa.

As of right now, Wisconsin has received commitments from three three-star linebackers in the class of 2025, reeling in Cooper Catalano, Brenden Anes and Samuel Lateju so far.

Three-star class of 2025 edge rusher receives offer from Wisconsin

Three-star class of 2025 edge rusher receives offer from Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers football team offered Israel Oladipupo, a three-star class of 2025 edge rusher from Indiana on Monday. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound athlete still has one more season of football at Noblesville High School before he’d potentially make the leap to the collegiate level.

Oladipupo has now received 15 Division 1 offers, including Indiana and Wisconsin within the Big Ten as well as Ball State within his home state. His impressive size will certainly lead to additional suitors down the road.

After a down year from the outside linebacker position in 2023 for Badgers, they went out and revamped the position in the transfer portal, adding Leon Lowery (Syracuse) and John Pius (William & Mary) amongst others ahead of 2024. Oladipupo has a similar build to Lowery and Pius and is definitely a recruit worth keeping an eye on moving forward.

Wisconsin Badgers offer three-star tight end after visit Tuesday

Wisconsin Badgers offer three-star tight end after visit Tuesday

Wisconsin football offered Jayden Savoury, a three-star class of 2025 tight end from Michigan, after he visited the team on Tuesday,

Savoury was in attendance for the Badgers spring practice Tuesday, their second session of the season. He has now received 15 Division 1 offers, including Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers and now Wisconsin within the Big Ten.

So far for the class of 2025, the Badgers have received only two hard commitments from offensive players, three-star quarterback Landyn Locke (Rockwall, TX) and three-star offensive tackle Michael Roeske (Wautoma, WI).

Savoury still has plenty of time to make a decision, but a program like Wisconsin with an offensive coordinator Phil Longo will likely be heavily considered.

Wisconsin schedules visit with top-ranked 2025 offensive tackle

Four-star offensive tackle set to visit Madison in May

Jack Lange, a four-star class of 2025 offensive tackle from Missouri, is set to visit the Wisconsin Badgers football team in Madison on May 31.

The Badgers offered Lange in January. He’s the top-rated player at his position in Missouri and the 11th-best offensive tackle in the country by 247Sports.

Lange has set up four summer official visits, starting with a trip to Madison in May before heading to see Missouri, Michigan and Nebraska.

Notre Dame and Ole Miss were also included in his top six programs that he listed in February.

At the end of the day, Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell and his new offensive line coach AJ Blazek want to return to the Badgers’ identity as one of the best offensive line schools in the country. Lange would be a great addition for that goal.

Wisconsin class of 2025 commit surprisingly flips to rival Minnesota

Wisconsin football recruit flips commitment to Big Ten rival

Wisconsin football class of 2025 commit Torin Pettaway decommitted from the Badgers and flipped to bitter rival Minnesota on Thursday night.

The in-state defensive lineman committed to join the Badgers on March 7. His change of heart and move to rival Minnesota seems to have taken many in the industry by surprise.

Pettaway is the No. 653 player in the class of 2025, the No. 63 defensive lineman and the No. 5 recruit from the state of Wisconsin.

His decommitment leaves Wisconsin’s class of 2025 with eight  commitments. The group also fell to No. 11 nationally with the news.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound athlete and junior at Middleton High School will be yet another in-state recruit to commit to play elsewhere — a troubling trend under both former coach Paul Chryst and current coach Luke Fickell.

Even though he’s still so far away, Elee has now received four Division 1 offers, including his home-state program Maryland, as well as Tennessee and South Carolina.

Elee possesses great overall size, fitting the mold of the type of player that head coach Luke Fickell and defensive coordinator Mike Tressel want to add to their team down the road.

Wisconsin is first program to offer edge rusher from Texas

Wisconsin is first program to offer edge rusher from Texas

The Wisconsin Badgers football team extended a scholarship offer to Tucker Ashford, a class of 2026 edge rusher from North Richland Hills, Texas, on Tuesday.

Ashford is a sophomore at Fort Worth Christian School and the Badgers became the first collegiate program to offer him, but considering the fact that he’s 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, many more programs will likely follow.

After a disappointing 2023 campaign, Wisconsin seems to be interested in some of the bigger-bodied defensive options in the class of 2026, offering three edge rushers on Tuesday. Along with Ashford, they also offered Landon Bland (6-foot-4, 220-pounder) and Zion Elee (6-foot-5, 225-pounder).
