Check out which veterans of the UFC are in combat sports action around the globe this weekend.

This week, the UFC heads to Charlotte, N.C., for a local matinee event headlined by Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Jailton Almeida.

UFC on ABC 4 also features a co-headliner between middleweights Anthony Hernandez and Edmen Shahbazyan.

The UFC is across the pond for a massive pay-per-view in London, UFC 286. The event takes place at The 02, featuring a title welterweight title rematch between [autotag]Leon Edwards[/autotag] and [autotag]Kamaru Usman[/autotag], in what will be their third overall bout against each other.

Elsewhere, many other MMA events are taking place that feature familiar names that have competed under the UFC banner.

The is back on its home turf this week, and a short-notice women’s flyweight bout tops the card.

UFC Fight Night 219 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.

In the main event, former women’s strawweight champion [autotag]Jessica Andrade[/autotag] (24-9 MMA, 15-7 UFC) takes on [autotag]Erin Blanchfield[/autotag] (10-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) at flyweight. Andrade took the fight on just a week’s notice when Taila Santos couldn’t travel with visa issues.

Andrade is slight favorite at -135 at Tipico Sportsbook; the comeback on Blanchfield, who is fighting in her first UFC main event, is +115. Our 11 editors, writers, radio hosts and videographers are siding with Andrade at a 7-4 clip.

In the co-feature, [autotag]Zac Pauga[/autotag] (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) takes on [autotag]Jordan Wright[/autotag] (12-4 MMA, 2-4 UFC) at light heavyweight. Pauga is the biggest favorite on the main card at -280, and he’s our lone unanimous pick.

Also on the main card, [autotag]Josh Parisian[/autotag] (15-5 MMA, 2-2 UFC) meets [autotag]Jamal Pogues[/autotag] (9-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at heavyweight. Pogues is a -250 favorite, but he has just a 7-4 lead in the picks from our staff members.

The closest fight on the entire card at the betting window is at light heavyweight between [autotag]William Knight[/autotag] (11-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) and [autotag]Marcin Prachnio[/autotag] (15-6 MMA, 2-4 UFC). Knight is a -125 favorite, but he’s got a huge 9-2 lead in the picks.

And to open the main card, [autotag]Alex Hernandez[/autotag] (13-6 MMA, 5-5 UFC) takes on UFC record holder [autotag]Jim Miller[/autotag] (35-16 MMA, 24-15 UFC) at lightweight. Hernandez is more than a 2-1 favorite, but it’s Miller who has a big 8-3 lead from our staff members.

William Knight wants Carlos Ulberg after UFC Fight Night 219.

LAS VEGAS – [autotag]William Knight[/autotag] wants [autotag]Carlos Ulberg[/autotag] after UFC Fight Night 219.

Knight and Ulberg have gone back-and-forth on social media, and Knight hopes that fight gets booked. In June 2022, Ulberg picked up a first-round TKO of Tafon Nchukwi, who stopped Knight at CFFC 80 in 2019.

But first, Knight (11-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) needs to get past [autotag]Marcin Prachnio[/autotag] (15-6 MMA, 2-4 UFC) on Saturday’s main card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.

“Carlos Ulberg, (Israel) Adesanya’s teammate – he beat an opponent I lost to years ago, which to me is still controversy because I felt like it was an early stoppage,” Knight told reporters at media day Wednesday. “I wasn’t hurt or nothing. The second he beat this guy, he started running his mouth on Twitter. He tagged me in some sh*t, and to be realistic, that fight needs to happen.

“So after Saturday, I’m going to run through this guy. That’s who I’m after. He ran his mouth and he needs to put his money where his mouth is. I’m here for that fight because when I called him out, it wasn’t, ‘Oh, it’s June … It’s this … It’s this.’ Now he caught a little ‘W,’ and now he wants to run his mouth. I’m ready for it.”

Marcin Prachnio happy William Knight matchup was rebooked for UFC Fight Night 219

Marcin Prachnio wanted to keep his UFC Fight Night 219 matchup with William Knight intact after it was canceled this past November.

LAS VEGAS – [autotag]Marcin Prachnio[/autotag] wanted to keep his matchup with [autotag]William Knight[/autotag] intact.

Prachnio and Knight were scheduled to fight at UFC Fight Night 215 this past November, but Knight withdrew. Prachnio was offered a short-notice opponent, but turned down the opportunity because it was a different style than what he’d been preparing for in Knight.

But now Prachnio (15-6 MMA, 2-4 UFC) and Knight (11-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) have been rebooked for Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 219 main card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.

“I was supposed to be here a few months back, but something happened – not to me, (but) to my opponent, to William Knigh, one day before the flight to the U.S.,” Prachnio told reporters at media day Wednesday. “I was so disappointed. We rescheduled the fight. We are here now. Let’s go.”

After he lost his first three UFC fights, Prachnio experienced a career resurgence with wins in two of his past three. Having already gone through a training camp for Knight, Prachnio likes that the UFC opted to reschedule the matchup.

“We prepared for the guy already, like three-and-a-half months,, so it was good to keep the same guy,” Prachnio said. “(It was) probably for him the same, because then you need to prepare for somebody else completely different.

“He’s strong, he’s a good wrestler, good striker, boxer, so a tough guy.”

Matchup Roundup: New UFC and Bellator fights announced in the past week (Nov. 21-27)

All the UFC and Bellator fight announcements that were first reported or confirmed by MMA Junkie in the past week.

MMA fight announcements are hard to follow. With so many outlets and channels available, it’s nearly impossible to organize.

But here at MMA Junkie, we’ve got your back.

Each week, we’ll compile all the newly surfaced fights in one spot. Every Monday, expect a feature listing everything you might have missed from the UFC or Bellator.

Here are the fight announcements that were broken or confirmed by MMA Junkie from Nov. 21-27.

William Knight announces UFC Fight Night 215 bout vs. Marcin Prachnio

The lineup for the UFC’s final card before a short late fall hiatus continues to grow with the addition of a light heavyweight bout.

[autotag]William Knight[/autotag] (11-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) on Thursday announced a matchup for UFC Fight Night 215 against [autotag]Marcin Prachnio[/autotag] (15-6 MMA, 2-4 UFC). The UFC has not yet made a formal announcement of the bout for the card, which takes place Nov. 19 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and streams on ESPN+.

Knight will be looking to get back in the win column after back-to-back losses. After a modest two-fight winning streak against Fabio Cherant and Alonzo Menifield in 2021, Knight dropped a decision to Maxim Grishin in February. In April, he followed that up with a third-round TKO loss to Devin Clark, which made for the first consecutive losses of his career.

The fight against Grishin was supposed to be at light heavyweight, but Knight came in at 218 pounds. Because of that, he moved to heavyweight for his fight against Clark and was all the way up to 251 pounds for the fight. But now he’ll be back at 205.

Prachnio will be looking to bounce back, as well. After a two-fight winning streak against Khalil Rountree and Ike Villanueva in 2021 had erased the memory of a three-fight skid, Prachnio dropped a decision to Philipe Lins in April.

UFC on ESPN 34 video: Devin Clark floors William Knight with nasty elbow-punch combo

[autotag]Devin Clark[/autotag] had plenty to handle, but in the end he delivered.

A traditional light heavyweight, Clark put away a much larger [autotag]William Knight[/autotag], who bulked up for his official heavyweight debut. It was an impressive finish to close out the preliminary card of UFC on ESPN 34 as Clark (13-6 MMA, 7-6 UFC) scored a knockout over Knight (11-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) at the 3:21 mark of Round 3.

Knight entered the bout with almost a 30-pound advantage. Clark was out-muscled early but rallied back to turn the tide and get a late stoppage win.

With the victory, Clark was able to bounce back from a two-fight losing streak. He’s now 3-2 in his past five UFC fights. The contest with Knight was his first fight at heavyweight.

William Knight stays at heavyweight; Devin Clark elevates to fight him at UFC on ESPN 34

UFC on ESPN 34 features a heavyweight bout between two fighters used to competing at light heavyweight.

[autotag]William Knight[/autotag] will stick around at heavyweight at least a little bit longer.

At UFC on ESPN 34, Knight (11-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) will take on [autotag]Devin Clark[/autotag] (12-6 MMA, 6-6 UFC) in a three-round heavyweight bout. The event takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and airs on ESPN/ESPN+.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking Thursday, but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Knight, 33, competed at heavyweight in his most recent outing, a split decision loss to Maxim Grishin at UFC 271 in February. However, the elevation up a division was a bit unexpected, as Knight missed the light heavyweight limit by 12 pounds. The bout was allowed to continue at heavyweight, as Grishin agreed. The loss snapped a two-fight winning streak for Knight that included victories over Fabio Cherant and Alonzo Menifield.

Clark, 31, was scheduled to compete at UFC on ESPN 34, but his opponent was never made public. Usually a light heavyweight, Clark is set to make his heavyweight debut off back-to-back losses suffered against Anthony Smith and Ion Cutelaba. Prior to the current skid, Clark won back-to-back fights against Dequan Townsend and the aforementioned Menifield.
