The United States and Sweden will have a chance to come away with a medal at the 2023 World Junior Championship as they face off in the bronze medal game on Thursday.
The Americans, who were the 2021 World Junior champions, were unable to secure their spot in the gold medal game after falling to Canada in the semifinals, 6-2. Sweden, the defending bronze medalists, also fell in the semifinals, losing to the Czech Republic in overtime.
